Chris Mead started his tattooing career in the winter of 2006. Before he began his journey into the realm of body art, he was working towards a different career path, a commercial artist.
After earning his associates degree in computer graphics and animation, he worked for 7 years in the product design industry encompassing a wide variety of disciplines that included 3d graphics, animation, product design, web development, illustration and prototyping.
His background in design and computer graphics has given him a much needed base skill set to excel in tattooing, and within two short years, is now an award winning artist with a loyal client base. Chris enjoys being challenged with diverse projects his clients bring to him, but his talent really comes through with detailed black and grey pieces. His favorites, by far, are darker images inspired by the macabre.
In addition to drawing and various forms of painting, Chris also works with metal, creating functional, yet eye catching sculpture. His most ambitious project yet, is a complete build of a 1931 Ford Model A hot rod.
